Music in the Park - Ulverston Town Band
Location: The Bandstand, Park Road Gardens
Ulverston Town Band begin the season of concerts at the Bandstand in Park Road Gardens today. Please note the slightly later start time of 2.30pm for this concert. This is to "tie in" with Radio Cumbria's outside broadcast of Harry King's Sunday afternoon music programme. Harry & the team will be based in the park all afternoon.

Edwardian Festival - Saturday 8th June 2013
Location: Park Road Gardens
Go back in time ,to a more leisurely era, fun for all the family. Full day of Entertainment , various bands , morris dancers and more on the Bandstand. Childrens entertainers around the park , punch and judy, magician etc. Over 30 Stalls, with variety of goods including crafts, plants, books, jewellery, cakes and more. Try your luck at tombola, hook a duck and more. Miniature train rides. Refreshments - Burgers, tasty treats, etc. soft drinks, tea and coffee. Best Edwardian Dress Competition for ladies/gents/couples/children. Free parking at Windermere Road Car Park ,then short walk to the Railway Station and ride the prom road train , small charge for this,lovely ride along the prom to Clare House Bridge. Walk over the bridge to the Festival.

Ulverston Victoria High School are sending their 9 piece Jazz Combo group to play for us today. They will be playing a wide selection of music from Traditional Jazz to Swing & Jazz-funk. Come along & support these very talented young people

Grange & District Concert Club - Jennifer & Jeremy Pkie
Location: Victoria Hall
Violinist Jennifer won the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2002 when just 12 years old and made her Proms debut 3 years later.
Recent highlights include soloist with the London Philharmonic and Halle Orchestra and a tour of Japan.
