Brilliant Piano Trio Plays at Gala Concert
Grange Concert Club is proud to present three rising stars of the musical world, The Rhodes Piano Trio, who will perform at the Gala Concert. Michael Gurevich (violin), David Edmonds (cello) and Robert Thompson (piano) will play works by Brahms, Ravel and Mendelssohn in the Victoria Hall at 8pm on Friday, 6th July. Tickets will be available at the door, price £12, to include a glass of wine or coffee and canapes. Children and students are free. Everyone is welcome.
The Trio was formed at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester in 2003 and won all the RNCM’s major chamber music prizes. Last year they were prizewinners at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition and were YCAT (Young Concert Artists Trust) prizewinners in 2010. Recently, they have performed at the Purcell Room, Bridgewater Hall, Wigmore Hall and the Barbican in the UK and abroad in the USA, Australia and venues in Europe. They have also appeared at the Lake District Music Festival. On leaving Grange, they will be performing at Music Festivals in Verbiers, Aix en Provence and Schwetzinger.
