The Grange Civic Society is running the Grange in Bloom competition and all residents and businesses are invited to enter this annual event. The categories are
Residential private gardens (front)
Residential tubs, baskets and containers
Business tubs, baskets and containers
Communal establishments, hotels etc.
Special awards may also be made to recognise wild life, a group of gardens, care for the environment etc
Entry forms are available at the Grange Tourist Information Centre, Grange Library and Grange Now. The forms should be returned by 13th July. Town centre businesses, hotels and communal establishments will be entered automatically.
Judging will take place in the week commencing 20th July.
The Mayor of Grange will present the awards at 7.15pm on Wednesday 12th August at Victoria Hall. There will be a slide show of the winning entries. All are welcome to attend. Grange in Bloom certificates will be awarded to the winners of each category and Garden Tokens will also be awarded for gold, and silver gilt awards.
The winners will also be announced in Grange Now in the September issue.
